Forum Holidays 2021
We are unable to organise any holidays at the present time due to uncertainty over coach travel, hotel occupation and the availability of tourist attractions and services at venues.
Shown below is an example of a typical Forum holiday.
We shall mail details of our new holidays to all members, and publish them here as soon as circumstances permit.
Beginning with pick – ups in Pickering, Malton and Norton we shall travel to Buxton, Derbyshire, with a stop for shopping and lunch. Then on to our Manor House hotel near Shrewsbury.
Day two takes us into Shrewsbury where, in the morning, we shall enjoy a pleasure boat ride on the Severn river. The rest of the day is free to explore the historical town.
Wednesday begins with a trip to Stokesay Castle, a 13th century fortified manor house built by Laurence of Ludlow, one of the richest men in England. Then, on to Ludlow with the afternoon free to enjoy the bustling medieval town.
Thursday sees us crossing the border into Denbighshire where we head to Llangollen. After a stroll along the Victorian promenade we take a horse drawn barge trip along the canal. Then, after time for lunch in town, we shall board a steam train for a trip to Carrog.
On Friday we break our homeward journey at Ripley, Derbyshire with a visit to Denby Pottery village. In addition to the factory shop there are also gift shops, a farm shop and a restaurant.
Once again our travel partners are Acklams Leisure who will provide a 50 seat Elite coach with air conditioning and toilet.
Early booking is recommended for this outstanding holiday which is sure to be popular and to sell out very quickly.
